Plastic harvest bins are the 21st century successor to antiquated and unsafe wooden produce crates. Made from FDA-approved, premium injection-molded, high-impact polypropylene plastic, harvest bins are lighter, stronger, more sanitary and easier to repair than wooden crates. Combined with their longer life span and positive impact on the reduction of hazardous working conditions, space-saving and cost-saving harvest bins are the easy choice for today’s agricultural and food processing industries.
Our harvest containers are constructed with smooth plastic surfaces, which can be easily cleaned to meet strict food safety requirements. The polypropene construction also ensures the necessary unmatched durability and reliability to handle a variety of produce.
Each of our harvest bins features industry-leading venting. Vents in a bin allow airflow through the container to ensure fruits and vegetables are appropriately cooled. Venting also facilitates better storage in controlled atmosphere (CA) rooms for apples and other sensitive produce.
Many things about the next-gen version of the 45" x 48" x 30" harvest bins are different but, some aspects were just too good to change. The 45" x 48" x 30" harvest bins are still made of the same FDA-approved, premium injection-molded, high-impact polypropylene plastic. The harvest bins still are non-porous, reducing contamination, especially compared to wooden crates. The 45" x 48" x 30" harvest bins have over 600 ventilation slots to help ensure adequate airflow and facilitate cooling. The rounded corners and smooth interiors help reduce abrasions and make cleaning quick and efficient. They also clamshell into one another when empty, meaning three bins fit into the same space as two to help cut down on storage requirements when the bins are not in use.
