What makes the CenterFlow Hopper Bottom Unique?

What makes the CenterFlow Hopper Bottom Unique?

The CenterFlow Seed Box container has been the leading storage and dispensing option in agricultural applications across the country for the last several years. Its center discharge, undeniable strength, multiple size options, and smooth interior make this plastic hopper container ideal for storing and dispensing corn, grain, and other crop vegetables. These same features also make the Seed Box a great option for handling resin and other flowable materials. While it has "seed" in the name, versatility is its game.

Gravity-Fed System

CenterFlow Seed boxes are recognized for their seamless, 35-degree angled chute interior. Due to the gravity-fed system, this type of bottom discharge makes it ideal for controlling the dispensing of small contents such as resins, powders, and pellets. It can also eliminate product loss with contamination or a second transfer. The slide gate located on the side of the container allows for contents to be easily emptied in less than 30 seconds. IBC containers are also used for this function but usually require a liner, valves, and other moving parts that make the hopper bottom much easier and more efficient to operate.

CenterFlow Seed Boxes have four heights

Using the new 9" collar, the CenterFlow Seed Boxes are available in four different heights. The bottom portion of the bin is 57" x 45" x 32" and can hold up to 1,000 lbs. of product. Adding on the extender ring takes it up to 57" x 45" x 41" where it can hold up to 1,500 lbs. The industry standard is the top and bottom rings connected without the extender. This option is by far the most common size at 57" x 45" x 65" and can hold up to 2,500 lbs. The tallest height available is going to be all three parts attached together at 57" x 45" x 74" and holding up to a whopping 3,000 lbs. If you already have these containers in the house and want to achieve some extra height without buying a whole new container, the 9" extension rings are available for purchase separately and can be added onto your already existing bins if you want to achieve some extra height.

CenterFlow Seed Boxes have a large capacity

Depending on the size of the box, the CenterFlow Seed Boxes can hold anywhere between 1,000-3,000 lbs. of product. These weight capacities apply to the container while it is being stored as well as in transit. By having the capability to stack the Seed Boxes on top of each other safely, they provide security to employees and take up less floor space than drums and the cage and bottle style bins commonly used in these applications.

Efficient Nesting Storage

When empty, the CenterFlow Hopper Bottoms also can be "nested" to save even more space. The bin's ring can be removed, flipped 180 degrees, and is placed or "nested" over the bottom base portion. By doing this, you can maximize your floor space by at least 40%. Since these are made of high-density polyethylene, they are resistant to rust, splintering, and peeling. They are also designed to withstand temperatures of –20 degrees to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The HDPE also ensures a long lifespan so that constantly replacing your containers won't be an issue.
