From fields to the facility, the 47 x 39 x 31 Hybrid Vented Harvest Bin is the versatile and durable bin you've been looking for

Take hybrid bins from the field to the facility

RPP Containers supplies several different harvest bins, ranging in sizes that can be used in various applications. The 47x39x31 hybrid vented harvest bin is probably the most versatile of these different sizes. Its strength, durability, and shipping and storage advantages make it a great container to add to your lineup.

47x39x31 Hybrid Vented Harvest Bin

What makes the 47x39x31 Hybrid Vented Harvest Bin stand out?

What makes the 47 x 39 x 31 Hybrid Vented Harvest Bin stand out? The new column design. Engineers have redefined what a “harvest” or “shipping” bin is capable of and how they perform- giving us the “hybrid” bin that has the best of both worlds.

Features & Benefits

  • Load capacity of 1,102 lbs.
  • Hundreds of vents in the sides and base of the container allows for superior airflow letting your products stay cool and protects your product from heat spoilage.
  • Softer walls with all round edges, better than traditional bins
  • Walls tapers to prevent walls from one bin crashing against the walls of any adjacent bins. This is called the "Bruise Buffer Zone"
  • Smart design keeps base from deflecting, and protects contents
  • New column design absorbs and recoils any impacts, instead of resisting impact and breaking
  • Durable FDA-Approved virgin polypropylene plastic resin
  • In a stack, the top bin doesn't nest into the bottom bin. It is secured by lugs which allows full use of internal volume, and keeps the feet and strap of the top bin away from the contents below

Clamshell nesting for storage and shipping savings

Clamshell storage

The ability to nest the containers inside of one another creates a huge benefit when shipping these back and forth. It allows for more containers to be put on a truck, while also cutting down on shipping costs. When the containers are not in use, they also store very nicely by utilizing the nesting feature- saving lots of valuable floor space. Farmers love them for a few reasons, but their ability to be assembled on site, used for harvest, and then shipped out to vendors when the harvest is over, is ideal. The nested configuration of these containers optimizes shipping and greatly reduces the cost of delivery.

New Column Design

New Column Design

The new column design acts as a bumper to absorb and recoil impact, preventing breakage and increasing the bin's overall durability. This works to protect the containers rather than resisting a blow and breaking. On top of the new, robust design, this container is made from virgin polypropylene plastic- providing a durable, long-lasting container option.

Bruise Buffer Zone

Bruise Buffer Zone

The combination of the soft surfaces (i.e., rounded edges and less sharp angles compared to a traditional plastic bin) and the tapered walls prevent produce and product from bruising or damaging even in the toughest conditions. The tapering of the walls prevents the containers from hitting against the walls of any nearby bins, thus creating a “Bruise Buffer Zone.”

Secure Stacking

Secure Stacking

When the containers are stacked with the columns and feet locked into place, they are secured by an interlocking foot design and stack perfectly on top of the other so that you can utilize the bin's full internal capacity with enough clearance that the substances inside remain completely unscathed.

These containers can hold up to 1,100 lbs. with a tare weight of 65 lbs. Traditional harvest bins weigh about 40% more and can hold up to approximately 1,500 lbs. Another characteristic separating the hybrid bin from traditional harvest bins is that it was designed with 10% more ventilation for increased airflow and faster cooling.
