CustomBulk - What Separates us from the Pack

Make the bulk container fit your application. Don't make your application accommodate your bulk containers.

CustomBulk

RPP Containers maintains a significant amount of on-hand, ready-to-ship stock of collapsible plastic bulk containers in many different footprints and styles. For most of your everyday industrial, agricultural, automotive, or other general material handling needs, we almost always have a plastic bulk container in stock to meet your needs. There will, however, always be outliers. Over the years, we have developed, expanded, and refined our CustomBulk® branch of the business to ensure that even if an off-the-shelf item doesn’t meet your requirements, our team is at the ready to design, prototype, and produce the right plastic bulk container for your company.

How does the CustomBulk process work?

The CustomBulk Process

STEP ONE, whether you are getting a completely custom, purpose-built new bulk container, or if you need a modification to an existing bin or design that we have available, will be the concept and design phase. You will work with one of RPP Containers many skilled and knowledgeable account managers to gather the information on the particular needs and demands of your specific application. We will go over things like weight capacities, material handling demands, storage and transportation requirements, and many more. Your dedicated sales rep will then meet with our in-house design and concepting team to come up with your CustomBulk bin. Our custom team will also provide drawings and in many cases 3D models of your new container for review and design tweaking before moving on from the concept and design phase.

3D printing

Step two is where RPP Containers’ large fabrication area, on-hand material list, and agile workforce really add value, and that is our rapid prototyping phase. After we have your approval and sign-off from the concept and design phase, our custom department springs into action to fabricate your prototypes for testing. Since we keep such a wide variety of standard bins in stock, that means that we rarely have to special order specific parts. This means that the CustomBulk team can get fully functional prototype bins out for testing in a matter of weeks. There is no more waiting for an entire fiscal quarter or longer, as can happen with many other vendors on custom units. If your specific project requires custom molds to be built rather than modifying existing designs, our team can still get scale prototypes out to you using our large format 3D printer.

concept to production

Step three, after you have had time to test your prototype units, we will go through another quick design review to see if any part of the design needs to be tweaked or revised after testing feedback. If needed, revised prototypes can also be created, or we can move on to phase three of our custom process, manufacturing, and production. Your dedicated sales rep will work with you to make sure our production timelines fit within your specific project needs to make sure you receive your new custom containers in a timely manner, that all parts are made to spec, and to ensure that we not only meet but exceed your quality expectations. Our CustomBulk branch of the business has been designed to ensure our customers receive the best service in the industry and the highest quality containers, with quick turnaround and competitive pricing.
