Refurbish the Best, Recycle the Rest

Life cycle of a bulk container

At RPP Containers we are committed to keeping containers out of landfills and reducing our carbon footprint. A couple ways that we have been sustaining this goal is by recycling and refurbishing containers that come into our facility. We continue to use those containers and parts that are repairable and recycle those that are broken and obsolete.  Our hope is that our containers never see an end to their life cycle.

RPP Containers purchases broken containers to use for repairs and recycling purposes. When our customers no longer have a use for their containers and need to dispose of them, we purchase those containers for reuse, repairs, and recycling. We spend time on each incoming load and inspect each item that comes through our door to make sure no functional part goes unused.

Do you still have a use for your containers but need repairs to keep them functioning properly and safely? RPP Containers can help!  We will repair your containers using working parts from our scrap loads giving you additional years of life on your otherwise broken containers. As our customer, you will have peace of mind knowing that your containers will be repaired and safe for use, all for a fraction of the cost of a new container.  For those containers broken beyond repair, we will pay you for the scrap material.

RPP Containers recycled 1.5 million lbs. of plastic last year

In 2019 alone RPP Containers recycled over 30,000 pounds of plastic per week which amounted to over 1.5 million pounds of plastic for the year.  When a container comes into our facility that is broken beyond repair, it is stripped of any metal and non-HDPE material and then put into our large plastic shredder also known as, “The Beast.” The Beast can process thousands of pounds of material per hour and can handle the largest container sizes in our inventory. Once the material is ground up into small pieces, the material is either used to make new containers or it is sold for scrap value.

If you are looking to sell RPP Containers your scrap or broken containers, give us a call.  Once we receive your load of containers, we will promptly inspect your load, weigh the plastic, and pay you for the material.

Contact RPP Containers to connect with a representative about how you can repair or recycle your HDPE containers.  We make this process easy for you and together we can reduce our waste, reuse the best, and recycle the rest.
